Food Ontology: Ontology for Describing Food Products
In the paper we introduce intermediate results of building domain ontology for describing food and food products. The ontology we’re building extends the most powerful ontology for product and service domains GoodRelations which is used by big companies such as Google, Yahoo, Best Buy and others. We give an overview of the relevant conceptual entities and relationships in the domain.
متن کاملDescribing Lambda Terms in Context Unification
The constraint language for lambda structures (CLLS) is a description language for lambda terms. CLLS provides parallelism constraints to talk about the tree structure of lambda terms, and lambda binding constraints to specify variable binding. Parallelism constraints alone have the same expressiveness as context unification. In this paper, we show that lambda binding constraints can also be ex...
متن کاملAre ‘Qualitative’ and ‘Quantitative’ Useful Terms for Describing Research?
We examine the concepts of quantitative research and qualitative research, and argue that this dichotomy has several dimensions which are often, erroneously, assumed to coincide. We analyse two of the important dimensions – statistical versus non-statistical, and hypothesis testing versus induction. The crude quantitative-qualitative dichotomy omits many potentially useful possibilities, such a...
متن کاملTerms and Definitions for Describing Myometrial Pathology Using Ultrasonography
This paper is a consensus statement on terms, definitions and measurements to describe and report the sonographic features of the myometrium using grayscale sonography, color/power Doppler, and three-dimensional ultrasound imaging. These terms and definitions may be relevant both for the clinician when reporting ultrasound examinations in daily practice and for clinical research. The use of the...
متن کاملDescribing a group in positive terms reduces prejudice less effectively than describing it in positive and negative terms☆
Reports Describing a group in positive terms reduces prejudice less effectively than describing it in positive and negative terms ☆ a b s t r a c t a r t i c l e i n f o In a series of five experiments, we demonstrate that exposure to information related to an out-group's hetero-geneity reduces prejudice more effectively than exposure to only positive characteristics of the out-group. We expose...
